Defence Authority Degree College started functioning on 3^rd September,1990 in its purpose-built campus for which construction started in November 1989. Regular classes commenced with the aim of providing excellent facilities to the students in a healthy academic environment. In a short period the college made a name for itself as one of the best colleges in Karachi. Ideally located on Khayaban-e-Rahat, in Phase-VI, DHA, the stately campus, provides a quiet and peaceful atmosphere for all academic and co-curricular activities to take place smoothly.

The college, with great ideals and achievements is still growing fast and advancing forth, strength to strength, establishing excellent standards and new records. The College is also running under the DHA Administrator, who is a serving Brigadier from Pakistan Army. Commander 5 Corps Karachi is the President of the Executive Board of the Authority and all the educational institutions of DHA, function under his guidance.
